Personal Introduction
E. Thomas Costello

I have been involved in Spiritual, energy issues, human motivation and coaching for performance since 1969 when I was shown and taught ‘automatic writing’ by my mother and two of my sisters. Since then I have pursued my inquiries into ‘what makes people tick’ knowing that there is much more than what we can see.

My coach-specific training comes from Coach University and Coachville and from being coached by two terrific coaches. Looking back over the years I see that coaching is what I have always expressed and sought.

When I wanted to move beyond processes aimed at accountability, structure, and willpower I sought to deal with issues at a deeper level. In the last ten years I have trained in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT), The Healing Codes and I have recently added The Emotion Codes and Christ Returns-Reveals Startling Truth to my list.  Each of the techniques and philosophy have filled my life with the knowingness of possibilities.  These techniques provide ways to recapture encysted energy. By dissolving ‘logjams’ (blockages) we can again access that energy, eliminate painful emotions, and gain new confidence and certainty about ourselves and our lives.

I have a business and military background which includes sales and management in small and Fortune 500 companies. I was a partner and general manager of a telecommunications company in California. I spent 6 years in the US military attaining the rank of Captain in the US Army Special Forces (Green Berets) after enlisting as a Private.

After having worked for the Dale Carnegie Institute in both sales and as an assistant instructor, I spent years exploring self-improvement philosophies and religions while reading and studying extensively about the factors that contribute to human motivation and behavior. I am a serious student of spirituality and Christ Consciousness. For over 15 years I did professional “coaching” with a Spiritual approach.

One of my coaches I studied and worked with, was an expert in addictive behaviors and thinking. His processes and thinking are part of the foundation for my coaching practice.

I consider myself adept at relationship coaching and the personal issues that either boost or hinder accomplishment. I am much more interested in working on personal development concepts than on sales and/or business plans. While I can do both, I am much more excited about the impact that self-awareness has on clients, their families, their associates and their achievements. I want to coach people to utilize their strengths not dwell on their weaknesses. This allows them to ask more of themselves than they think they can achieve.

I am sensitive, intuitive and compassionate. My wife says that I can hear the unspoken word better than anyone she has met. I have experienced sufficient pain and struggle to be empathetic. Criticism, from self and others, is a major component of people’s “untruths” about themselves. More criticism is not the solution. Seeing other choices and knowing how we decide gives us the tools to create the life we want.

Recently I founded www.120andhealthy.com (I truly believe we can live to be 120 and healthy) and am pastor of the Church of the Healing Spirit, an internet based home of healing, prayer and enlightenment (www.ChurchoftheHealingSpirit.org).  I currently am head of the coaching program at The Healing Codes, yet another energy medicine technique on my list (www.thehealingcodes.com).

I am married to my childhood sweetheart (after being apart for 35+ years). Between my wife, Mary Ann, and I, we have four children. Our two daughters have two children each as does one of our sons. Our other son is a bachelor although we propose to his girlfriend on a regular basis on his behalf, to no avail. I have two stepchildren from my second marriage.

We live in Naples, Florida. I have also lived in Houston, Texas, Kansas City, Missouri, San Diego and Long Beach, California and New York City. I was born in Greenport, NY on the eastern end of Long Island. While in the military I lived in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Monterey, California (attending the Defense Language Institute where I became proficient in Spanish), and Panama. I went to military school in Colombia as a US Officer.

I have written and published a children’s books called “Johnny Proboscis And His Four Extraordinary Pals.” In addition I am a co-author of “A Guide to Getting it: Abundance”. I recently was honored with recording the audio of “Christ Returns-Reveals Startling Truth”, perhaps the greatest gift I have ever received. My life and the lives of everyone I deal with have changed because of this incredible book.

My life is full and getting fuller and I am grateful.
